WTF just happened

I just walked into the room I keep the computer in, and the computer power light is still green, but I don't hear a fan or anything, it doesn't sound like it's on at all. The monitor shows that the computer is off, it says DVI cable disconnected, the normal message it says when the computer is turned off. But I never tunred it off, I just walked out for a few minutes. I can't restart it, I have to unplug it and then turn it back on. Is it a random power surge or something? Is my system dying? Never happened to me before.

EDIT: Seems to be running fine now... I hope.

Standby mode of some sort? Maybe it locked up mid-shutdown?
Don't know.

I've got weird crap with my PC - some nights it'll just shut itself down....unless it's my roommates doing it, I don't know. MBM5 records a log every 5 seconds, and it generally makes its last entry sometime between 4am and 8am, indicating when the system shut down.
I wonder about the roommate theory, because this never happened at home, at least that I can remember. Summer's coming up though, so I'll have a few months to test this theory.

It was those steamy, hot pics of me that I sent you. Just too much hotness for that paltry rig to handle, sorry.
