WTF just happened to me / Anyone have this happen to them?

I pop my jaw sometimes, and I thought this was just another one of those times....

The area on head, just in front of my ear (high back cheek) felt like it need popped, so I moved my jaw left to right and back and bam! Really loud pop (to me at least) and I felt a liquid start to feel like it was oozing down out of my ear.

After getting a swab, it wasn't blood, just a clear substance, and I filled up 2-3 q-tips drying it out. Did I bust some cavity up there?

BTW, it feels better now.

I pop my jaw like that but have never had that happen... you might go see a doctor, or at least call one and see what they say.

Hope that isnt the fluid that supports your brain or anything 😉

did you feel like there was any pressure on your ear before then?

obviously you popped an eardrum... i'm just wondering if it's an inner ear infection or what.

Minor ear or sinus infection. You may lose hearing in that ear, and more liquid is going to run out. I had one about a year ago. Ear will feel like it's got water in it and you won't hear anything from it for a week, maybe two.

Taste it, if it tastes like salt, your OK, if it tastes sour, you have an ear infection.

It could be that liquid in your ears that keeps you balanced. If you start getting dizzy or motion sick whilest not even moving..yeah that is. heh.

Not sayin it is, Just passing on info. However, if he did pop his jaw hard enough it could cause some other damage possibly.

Just passing on what my Dentist told me.
