WTF is wrong with this keyboard?

Hi there,

I just got a new Logitech MX 3200 mouse/keyboard combo, and while I'm really pleased with it, I'm pissed at this strange phenomenon: whenever I try to write a text, in any program, pressing "." on the main keyboard results in "..." being typed. It's not a defective key; it does it on purpose, and pressing the "." key on the Numeral pad results in a single period being registered on the screen.

Is there some sort of setting that I'm overlooking? I'd call Logitech, but they're not open until the morning, amnd I'm trying to write a long article....

It's odd to have two defective keys on the same input key. As those two keys are supposed to be linked together in a circuit it can be the circuit that's causing the problem. There shouldn't be anyway to fix it since the problem is located on the hardware side as far as i know.

Sounds like something is wrong with the keyboards reading of the "." key scan code. That would explain why you are getting three .'s

I know this is not the same but maybe it can assist the OP with his issue...
I have the Microsoft wireless multi media keyboard and when I hooked it up it would not type the regular letters on the keyboard...
I flipped it over and there was a connect media button that I had to depress and once I fdid that the keyboard worked perfectly!!

Also I have a key that allows me to lovk all the F kets...

anyways good luck!!

Did you spilt water/liquids on your keyboard lately? I have similiar problems after water is spilt on the keybard.
