So, I'm just depressed. I won't get into the details, but the sister of a friend was just murdered by her boyfriend, who in turn killed himself. Both of them were 18. I see things like this on TV and the sort, but it is absolutely unreal when it happens in a circle of people you actually know. I was more a recent acquaintance than anything, my GF is much closer to the family. I've gotta say, even though I'm not a very "active" member of the boards, I was struck by what happened to acemcmac, and this situation is no different to me.
It's a bizarre feeling to think about how it's so easy for us to bitch about gas prices, elections, work, console fanboyism and useless crap, when such sensleess acts of violence and negligence take away lives. I don't really know what I'm getting at, but always remember what's truly important in life and always make sure the people you love most know it.
