WTF is wrong with my trucks CD player???

... most of the way up, and then it just starts saying cd error, and spitting out my cd's. I felt the cover part, and it felt pretty hot, but the radio still worked.

Im gonna assume that the heat has a lot to do with the cd not playing, because when the truck had been sitting all day, it worked for about 15 minutes, then took a dump on me.

Has any one else experienced this problem??
Can someone give me any advice on how to solve this problem?

I was thinking i might have to replace the cd player, but im not sure because if it is a problem with the heater somehow interfering with the player, then it would probably just reoccur with a new cd player.

Thanks for the help

Thank you for your response, but i read through some of this document, and it seems that the guy mostly speaks of preventative maintenance and taking it out of hot areas and stuff.

I am wondering more if anyone here has experienced this problem, and if they might have advice for fixing it. Is it something i have to take to the dealer or can i fix it myself.

The car is fairly new, its a 2003 ford explorer.
