WTF is with this packaging?

Colt45

Lifer
The hostess logo and everything look like it was made in 1952.

the package is wax paper too.

hostess can't afford new tooling for packaging or has this thing been sitting in the 7-11 store room since 1958?

cherry

Probably because it's sold both here and abroad, and since America is one of the only places that we need fancy packaging, rather than just a quality product, they save money by using the same, plain packaging everywhere they sell it.

Who cares if the packaging looks "old", if the pie tastes good?

I'm not sure if you're for or against the old packaging style...too many commas in your sentecnes and fragments make it tough to understand what you're saying haha.

I don't know about that but I do know that I have seen a lot of French people in the area lately. I bet most of them don't have the right to be in this country.

Those relics dominate the store-shelves of delis in NYC.
Nostalgia indeed.... I remember having at least 2-4 a week for breakfast and afternoon snacks during HS 🙂

Well if you read his post, you would see that he is ok with the packaging. "Who cares if the packaging looks old"

Its called "nostalgia"

Plus it's easily recognizable - when you see it, you know what it is. That's an important marketing ploy, when you share shelf space with 23 other pastry items.

These things are so laden with preservatives and sugar I don't even think they can get green and fuzzy!
