I sent a UPS ground package, that, according to the site, was supposed to be delivered today. It arrived in the city of destination, and now went to another city in IN with the explanation:

Hammond - Hammond UPS INTERNAL ACTIVITY CODE

WTF is this? I've sent dozens of packages before and never seen this.

WTF is UPS Internal Activity? The opposite of UPS External Activity?

As was mentioned, it probably got missorted and misrouted. They caught the error and are rerouting it.

Or the box accidently opened and spilled out its contents...illicit drugs, and they are performing Interal Activity, ie contacting the FBI and DEA.

Call them and ask. I've seen weird stuff before (but not that one) and they are usually very good on the phone about explaining what it is that has happened. The phone number is one their web site, I didn't have any trouble finding it last time I looked.
