WTF is up with Newegg and Rockband for 360????

NewEgg dicked me over so bad on RockBand.
I pre-ordered it and got a confirmation. A few days later, I send an email asking when it will be shipped. They reply with some automated response saying "we have no information, but as soon as this item gets back in stock we will let you know"... it really pissed me off since the item was new, it had never been in/run out of stock. I replied to the email and told them to cancel my order. A few minutes later I go to NewEgg live chat and chat with a guy -- He informs me that it actually WILL be shipped out on time. I ask him kindly to leave a message on my order to inform the CSR to NOT cancel it when the email comes in. He assures me that this won't happen, I make him promise and take a SS. Of course later that day I get an email saying my order was canceled and there was nothing they could do.

Newegg has the best real-time inventory of the online parts stores, but I never use Newegg for ordering out-of-stock items. For them I set the auto-notify and order when stock arrives.
For game preorders you should be using GoGamer or GameStop.

I preordered mine the day after thanksgiving and I haven't heard nothing since then.

Well, I went to J and R this weekend and they had rockband for the 360. Bought it and cancelled the newegg order. Kicks ass but the guitar is total crap. I had to open the fret because the green key membrane was not installed correctly, then I noticed the strum bar felt weird and loose like no spring was in there. So I hooked it all up and sure enough 80% of the strum do not register. Works srtumming up but I cant play that way. Went online to EAs website, popped in my info and they are sending one by tomorrow. Total crap guitar. Good thing my GH2 guitar works with RB. Also, the RB guitar wont work with GH2 or GH3. I hate EA and/or Activision for making the decision to not have the RB guitar work on GH2 and GH3. Anyway, overall great game! Drums kick ass! The guitar play is way too easy even on the harder mode. But I love the character creation. Sweet overall.🙂

Chalk that one up to Activision. They are the ones who would be responsible for allowing the RB guitar to work on GH games. There is a recent DailyTech article about it if you care to read up on it.

I just got the game and since most guitars end up failing, will they allow me to get it fixed even though it still works pretty well? I don't even use the RB guitar since it blows so it probably won't fail before the warranty is up.
