running 285 htt times the 2/3 mem divider should yield 190 mhz speed on ram right??? what's goin on here. please enlighten me.

Let me guess, you are using an a64? The memory controller is actually on die. If you are using a multiplier with a .5, then that would explain it, plus I think a few others cause slight variances in memory speeds

yes, it's an AMD64 (opty).

I have a san diego 3700+ running with a 242fsb. I'm using a 166 divider, and my mem is at 190fsb if that helps you out any 😛
