WTF IS THIS!? Im getting charged a FEE to get my package to the CORRECT ADDRESS?

WTF DO I HAVE THE WORST FVKING LUCK WITH SHIPPING COMPANIES!!!!

Crucial sent me a stick of ram as a replacement, somehow my apt. # was either left off the fedex tag or they just decided not to look in my complex for my apt (which has happened before mind you).

Anyway, just checked the status and it showed 'Incorrect Address', called up fedex and was told there would be a charge for correcting the delivery address. Since i didnt pay for the shipment to begin with i told her to bill the shipper and she said she didnt know if she could but would try. She said if she couldn't, i would get a bill in the mail :roll:
 
Does Crucial still have free shipping? If so, can you reorder it from them and just have the first one sent back? They can't force you to pay for it and they'll have to just return it to sender otherwise.

Also I'd check with Fed Ex and ask them exactly what the address says on the package. If it's correct and they just didn't deliver it, then it's their fault. If the address is missing something, then call Crucial and see what address they had put on it. If Crucial left something off, then it's their fault and they should send a replacement or let fed ex bill them for their mistake.

Yah, the shipping is free. This was a replacement stick for one that i purchased 2-3 years ago and just recently died. Im calling them as soon as the package comes to see what it has on it.

You should have called Crucial, not Fedex.

If the address is incorrect, the party SENDING the package should correct it and clear up any necessary charges. Crucial might have the incorrect address in their own database - if you don't call and correct them, you could run into the same problems ordering from them in the future.

By bypassing Crucial and contacting Fedex directly, Fedex assumes that the shippers tag info was correct, and you are calling to CHANGE the ship-to address. That is why you are being held responsible for the extra charge. 🙂

Refuse delivery if they try to deliver it to you now. And go get it at the office. That address change fee is horse sh|t.
