WTF Is This Aversion To Email?

I emailed a plumbing store last week with a question. I got their address from a site who listed them as a distributor. They left a message on my answering machine on Monday saying, "We're replying to your email." Nimrods!

I send my dad a message with links to pictures and what-not. He calls me and tells me he got my email...

My sister does the same thing. I write my wife at work. Later, I ask if she got my message or not. She does, but never replies.

Every time you want to correspond with a government agency, or insurance company or something, they want you to FAX info to them. It's a major effort to get them to take an email. I'm not talking about paperwork with signatures either. What the hell is wrong with these people? :disgust:

It's a huge conspiracy! Contact the FBI! Fax the Paranormal Investigations Department! It is only by disposing of Agent Mulder that we can finally turn one man's quest into a crusade!

How would disposing of the man, that leads the quest to investigate the paranormal, help the cause?

Lol now imagine asking for it all to be encrypted and digitally signed. I'd love for that day to come, but people already have too much trouble with email....

I feel more comfortable sending someone an e-mail than a fax. Who knows what happens to the fax after it prints off.

Explain to me why my parents and sister prefer to reply by phone. Why did the gal from the plumbing supply call instead of phoning? I sent them another email asking this... in a slightly sarcastic tone. When I finally called her back, I made her fish the info I was inquiring about from the message.

I LOVE using email! It's a record of the transaction and notes containing serial numbers, confirmation numbers and directions. I've kept email dating back to 1996 just for reference. Let's see your damn FAXes from last month!
