wtf, is there anything wrong with not confirming a sale on half.com??

First of all, if i didn't confirm and cancel the order, why is it my fault?? I never agreed to ship the item
I listed the books a long time ago so maybe I changed my mind or I sold it to someone else or don't have the book anymore or don't want to sell it anymore ,etc.

At least they weren't negative feedbacks but still, why isn't it okay for me to not confirm the sale and cancel it.. since i never agreed in the first place?

So... you're offering these items for sale, then after someone orders one, you cancel it and wonder why they're unhappy? If you don't want to sell the stuff, stop offering it for sale.

So you list items you don't want to sell, then eventually cancel the orders.

How long does it take you to cancel? It would be very annoying to order something from you instead of someone else, wait a couple of days, then finally find out you've cancelled the order.

By then the other person, who isn't too lazy to update their listings, might have sold the copy they're actually willing to sell.

I'd be thinking a kneecapping is in order, but after calming down would probably think the neutral is sufficient, as a warning to others not to trust your listings.

Many of the people buying on half.com are an even lower form of life than the mutants lining up to pay above retail on ebay.

That said, I can understand people getting a little irritated when they "buy something" only to find it cancelled. As a seller I would probably clean up my inventory and not make a habit of cancelling sales to avoid that problem.
