im not just saying its dumb somone uses there pc for this stuff thats a waste of electricity. Could be saving money for other things like bills than some pc program running 24-7 just IMO.

it uses spare cpu cycles moron, and SETI isnt the only distributed computing project, they have ones that are out processing data to help find causes and cures for cancers and virus's, they used one to find some astronomical number of PI(not a great reason)... and it is/was used to help the human genome project i think... so maybe millions of people are wrong and u are right... or maybe you should just STFU and stand there while i beat u with a flashlight
