Why does anyone like this thing? I mean, it's nothing. It's not an animal, it's not a game, it's not a TV show... it's just a logo with a stupid looking cat. The phrase doesn't even make any sense "Hello Kitty" Does the cat say hello a lot? Why do people buy crap like this?

japanese people are... different.

you know you can buy soiled schoolgirl panties in vending machines in japan?

<< Police in Japan are trying to curb an unsavoury trade. In early September, three business men stocked around 90 vending machines in outer Tokyo with used underwear "guaranteed to have been worn by a Japanese schoolgirl." Each garment sells for about $29 >>

Can't say I'm surprised. After all, they do sell "Rape Tapes". Some people are so sick.

They have hello kitty massagers too. "With kitty you can get relief and power... pocket sized so you can feel good anytime, anywhere," its packaging states.

Actually, Hello Kitty began as just a simple logo to put on greeting cards. It then spread on to other things. You can even get a car that's branded by Hello Kitty. And in Japan, I think they did away with the used panties. It became a health hazard. Supposedly, they sell clean panties but it's for emergencies, just in case the women forgot theirs on a vacation.

BTW: I gotta "massager" also, but it's a gift for someone. Hehe. :D
