wtf is going on?

my cpu temp is around 42C on asus probe and the case temp is 30C


edit: i forgot to say it usually goes around 30c cpu temp

2800 barton
zalman cnps 7000alcu
120mm panaflo

So whats wrong about that? 42C/30C is very acceptable, although a bit high for idle temps.

check for dust lodged in your heatsink/fans/dust filters.

Over the past day, my CPU temp ranged from a low of 38C to a high of 58C. System:
XP-M 2400 @ 2.2GHz
Abit NF7-S rev1.2
Alpha 8045 with a 32CFM fan
MBM5

12C over case isn't that big of a deal. My P4 2.8 runs about 12-15C over.
