Basically, I got a good oc on my 2100+@2.3ghz. It has been running stable for a while with my Twinmos ch-5 pc3200 at 11.5x200. I tested it about a month ago and prime was golden along with memtest. Temps were around 43-45c under load. Recently i decided to test my comp and in memtest i get a random error that is inconsisitant but prime failed after 1 hr with illegal sumout errors and temps around 47-48C under load. My ram has 2.8v and and cpu has 1.725 i believe. Even though i recently got these errors, I have been playing Jedi acadamy with no problems for like 4 hours at a time the past week. Any info would help. BTW it is about 74F in my apt without ac. Also check my sig for system specs. Have 5 case fan+sk-7 and ystek

if your getting random errors with memtest then you might want to bump up the vdimm voltage, or lower the memory timings
but since your already running vdimm at 2.8v you may not want to run it any higher without some kind of cooling

for that matter your ram might be dying from to much heat/overclock if the ambient temp is high and you dont have very good case ventilation

I have good case ventalation. I use round cables that are pressed back against the back wall of thecasein order to give me good air flow. I have about 32c case temp and you know the cpu temp from above but Im not sure why it was fine 1 month ago. Well I do have twinmos with lifetime warrenty so i could give them a call. I will lower the multi tonight very low and try again. I believe my timings are 7332 or 7322. Thats what i heard this ram likes. Could the ram be the cause of the prime errors?? LOL. Guess i wont find out unless i test. This would piss me off if the ram was bad only because i got it a month ago and havent OCED IT! Its running in spec. I wonder if the problem lies in my vdd on the board 8rda+. But as i said it ran fine with no errors as far as i remember when i first obtained this speed.

PS: Ill try lowering the voltage. I shouldnt have to bump it to 2.8 (2,77 in bios) to get 200fsb since that is stock.

Dont those temps seem high? They were never that high

if memtest reports errors then you gotta expect prime95 to fail (either sooner or later depending on how bad the memory errors are)

sounds like you might have some dying ram

yep, thats my conclusion. I will do some more testing and check this out. Im thinking that high voltage could be the prob. I have heard nmorous reports that this ch-5 ran doesnt likehigh voltage. But on the other hand no matter what it shouldnt be erroring at 200fsb because this stuff is awesome ocing ram and almost everyone i talk to has this up over 225-230fsb. The timings could be the prob but without more testing who knows. Have you ever dealt with twinmos before?

nope

i usually just buy generic stuff, unless i specifically need some high quality/overclockable/good stuff then i buy corsair

yes Twinmos with ch-5 chips are considered to be the lover of nforce2 boards. Bascially, they run awesome together. Bummer that i might have bad chips

I agree I suspect the ram...The only time I have seen that error in prime has been solved with lower ram timings raising vdimm or changing a stick out....
