Hmm ... I had an ebay account in 95 or 96, but haven't used it for about 11 or 12 years.... used to be a good cheap place to buy used hardware, but nowadays it's mostly dealers and assholes tryin to resell new shit for a profit.

if you havent used it in that long it most likely got closed. they emailed me about the fact that mine had been inactive for like a decade and would be closed within 30 days.

its since been closed. ebay hasent been worth using in about a decade IMO so its no big loss for me

Surely you jest.

I registered July 10th of '98 and there are many older.

Surely, you can't read. He said it was the oldest he knew of, not the oldest ever. I have no idea why everyone took it as some kind of challenge. Of course we are going to the account with a long history of experience and feedback as a seller when selling something of value. Of course.

It's like saying "I've had my Dec 2006 PS3 longer than anyone I know of" and having all the people who lined up at launch start wagging their epeens online. Duh. Of course. Many people got them at launch. He doesn't KNOW "of" you and your PS3.

(psst: We lined up on Nov 17th, 2006 too but the one we still have came from December 2006)

You're correct.

I took his useless statement incorrectly.

It wasn't useless. It explained his motivation for using my account. That was all it was meant to do and it did it. Others having an older account doesn't change what account is the oldest accessible to him.

That picture looks like a regular phone, not white as suggested. Is it just the back that is white or should the front bezel show white also?

Just checked my account.

Before the iPhone 4, the 3G and 3GS were available in white. The face was always black.

The only white iPhone with a white face is the new iPhone 4, and I think it would look a lot better with a white back and black face.

Yea, I think it was 96, since that's when I got my first job and got a checking account for the first time.

Anyhow, that was linked to a netwave email address, and later changed to netzero, but I don't think I updated after that .... hah

Was reading this getting a kick out of the twins tag teaming their ebay account as explanation for it not being a mult then I got to "new iPhone 4" and was WTF?

I'm still convinced it's one guy with "multiple personalities" (which happen to be almost the exact same). And like there aren't ways to make it seem like you're posting from two totally different regions. :sneaky:

I love finding things on Ebay that are miscategorized and getting them very cheap. Often people use goofy titles and such and their item ends up in some weird place. It's fun to pick up valuable things for a buck or two.

If I'm suffering from multiple personality disorder, then I'm not sure how I manage to work two jobs with conflicting schedules. How did Tyler Durden and "Jack" pull it off? They even had to travel a lot. :hmm:

Nothing strange about it, and definitely NOT "coincidence."

We have always shared the same eBay account since we used to live together. I don't want to start a new account with a feedback rating of 0. Our account is the oldest eBay account I know of.

Yours is only a couple months older than mine. Heh.

idk what ebay is doing

on one hand, you can only get customer service via phone

on the other hand, they are often running extra cash back or coupon promos. pretty awesome. today I was able to use 4x ebay bucks stacked with a 10% off coupon. quite close to 18% off anything on ebay.
