I didn't think the media had permission to post pictures of special ops soldiers. They are suppose to avoid the camera like the plague, but this guy got nailed. Boohoo on CNN for posting it.

I am not going to post the pic here as I don't want more people to see it, but if you must, it's on CNN's home page right now.

I have stopped watching CNN ever since they stopped using the word terrorist because they did not want to judge people.

I also don't like how they say Mr. Bush instead of President Bush. That's like saying Mr. Evil instead of Dr. Evil. Bush didn't go to 4 years of evil president's school to be called Mr. did he?

hahahhahaha, nice. ;)

And as for the lack of use of the word 'terrorist', poo on them. If they honestly believe terrorists deserve any kind of respect then I think I'll stop watching them completely.

What a bunch of blind, goosestepping, Rush-loving, O'Reilly worshipping, conservatives (so-called).

These photos are everywhere.

Mad because CNN was the first with the goods?

They're probably pics of Army Rangers, which are really just highly trained, highly motivated infantry soldiers. These guys are not the ones that run "undercover" ops, so showing their faces is like showing the needle before you throw it back into the haystack. There are thousands of Rangers in the Army.

They are, and they are no big deal. And that soldier could have been anyone. Nothing to get anyones panties into a twist.

Yup. Exactly. D-Men (Delta Force) are the "ellites" that the government wants to protect. A lot of Delta's members will be infiltrating in various battle dress and won't stick out.

Special Forces fight unconvential warfare, civilian clothes, undercover ops, etc.

Rangers fight conventionally, like you said, highly specialized and dedicated Infantry troops.

Both have my tremendous respect, these are the most professional soldiers in the world. I never went to SF or Ranger school, but I went to OCS with some. I'm glad they're on my side.

Yo Ferocious,

you stupid-arse liberal!

First you say the pictures are everywhere and then you say that CNN was first.

Well, guess what moron, if CNN was first they couldn't have been everywhere.

I don't really think there are laws, such as in Israel, prohibiting posting such pictures, but it does stick in my craw that just because someone is sensitive to it that idiots like you brand him/her a right-winged fanatic.

God, I wish I was a liberal. I could make my mind go blank and just spew intellectual sounding drivel without rational basis. Oh the bliss!

They were. Some people don't read a whole story and to research before they post a topic wanting to bash groups of people. CNN took a daring leap when they did that, and I think it was a good choice. Using the word terrorist is being partial, just like how some journalists wear American flag pins, or even endorsing a political leader, just in a less obvious way.

Oh please, that ranks pretty high on the oversensitive bullsh!t meter. The attackers fit the definition of a terrorist pretty well, and there is nothing wrong with journalists wearing American pins.

Edit: I guess if you think those pins are really biased, you must REALLY hate the American flag graphic they have constantly on CNN.

sheesh, dont' call them the communist news network

if you've seen how filtered and twisted the news is in other oppressive countries, you'd think twice about calling them that and at least appreciate the fact that we have the good ol freedom of press and all.

LOL and you guys accuse CNN of sensationalism and exaggeration. I don't think it's that big of a deal if they were released by Rumsfield.

Well recall 1996 when the Olympic bombing happened. One of the major newscasters (I believe Tom Brokaw) called Richard Jewel the bomber and NBC (or whichever network the newscaster belonged to) got sued. It's called covering your ass, because there is always the possiblity that there was identity theft or mistaken identity, or just plain being wrong. If my identity were stolen and major networks were calling me a terrorist instead of accused or alleged terrorist, I'd be pissed (and so would you).

Now go find something important to whine about.

'Wolf Blitzer' of CNN was the biggest 'YES MAN' Clinton ever had! I personally can't stand to watch the guy!
