I have to admit... I did spend 1k on my gun. You can argue "Might as well get a REAL AR". But mine is close enough! I mean, manufacturers understand how serious people will get, so they made the ultimate bb gun!

And I do appreciate details... For example: my gun is made out of forged Aluminum 7075-T6 that's also heat treated. Then it's CNC milled. This is exactly what Colt uses for their AR receiver. Even as a collector's item, it works damn well!

I have to say, marketing. I know what you speak of, I own one of them, not the whole gun but the part. Kinda close, but not really. Not too different from the competition.

that's what i'm talking about: I have a 2009 Inokatsu M4A1. 1:1 scale, takes real stocks, pistol grips, rails, handguards, etc. Funny thing is that the REAL KAC RAS system has more wobble than the inokatsu M4A1!

From what I've seen, this gun is VERY different than the competition... It's closer than SYSTEMA's and Celcius training weapons! Even the bolt carrier finish is very close, and the weight of it too!

I have most of what is out there for the WAM4. The Inokatsu is not that impressive. It's nice, but the competition is pretty nice too.

the competition isn't bad. But I can feel the difference between a G&P WOC, WE M4, WA M4, and of course a Viper. Inokatsu pays more attention to detail, and has the trademarks properly proportioned. KA M4, G&P, WE, has this "smashed & fat" Colt trades. That and their gun doesn't have as much recoil as inokatsu's.

I will say, Inokatsu's recoil isn't the holy grail of GBBR's, but it's definitely the king of WA M4 variants. Plus they are the ONLY ones that uses a forged aluminum body (besides viper and real sword).

what do you have?

I have a mishmash. The only "complete" gun I have is a Bomber A4, which is a WOC with a Prime receiver. I definitely agree that stuff like the rail forearm and flashhider and maybe barrel Inokatsu does better, but it is definitely a toss up between a Prime receiver and an Inokatsu receiver.

I've since replaced the rail on the A4 with a KAC one I got 2nd hand.

I built a GBBR out of an 2010 Inokatsu receiver I purchased 2nd hand. This was with all of the Inokatsu receiver components and an Inokatsu BCG. It's nice and everything fits very well, but it is not miles ahead of Prime, just different.

I've also used receivers from Iron Airsoft, and they are quite nice also.

I would agree that the Inokatsu bolt carrier is one of the best (I say one of because I've never used the steel ones by Prime).

Prime Receivers are made out of 6061 Aluminum, and isn't forged. But if I was to make my gun, Prime would be the #2 choice. Ino's are better, but it isn't miles ahead of prime. But then again, Prime receivers are not cheap either! But Prime Receivers has properly proportioned trades as well.

But I think we can agree that Inokatsu receivers are one of the top receivers out there! As a factory gun, Inokatsu is pretty much the best factory built gun you can get.

But at any rate, I also have a GHK PDW version 3, and a GHK AKM with the upgraded recoil kit. GHK definitely has the hardest recoil out of all the GBBR's i've fired!

it wasn't a claim by inokatsu, but rather by the people from gasguns.info, who also own prime receivers :)

but most people say, the "feel" of the receiver bodies are both very very sturdy! Much higher than woc's and KA's and WE's.

Lol, I post there. I might've been the one who claimed that.

There is no scientific evidence of it, just what Inokatsu says. Regardless whether or not that's true, I don't really care. They both work.

I don't have an Inokatsu selector, but I have several G&P steel selectors, which work fine.

is it a direct drop in for the ino body? if so, would you be willing to part with one? do you have a g&p ambi?

I think the people who spend $1000 outfitting their airsoft M4's with real gun accessories and who get real uniforms are a bit ridiculous.

Yet most people here think nothing of someone spending $400 or more on a new video card so they can get another 10 frames per second while sitting on their computer playing a game where they pretend to be a soldier in combat.

I've never played airsoft, but I was into paintball for a while and it was a lot of fun. My 16 year old son has been very into airsoft for probably 3 or 4 years now. I don't mind because it's a hell of a lot cheaper than paintball and I'd much rather he be running around doing something physical instead of playing games on the computer.

I did not know Airsoft had grown into this serious of competition. Sounds like epic fun to me.

What kind of range do these higher end airsoft rifles have? What kind of groups can you get at say 25 yards?

A properly tuned Airsoft gun can get torso sized groupings up to 150 yards... I have heard of specially modified sniper rifles ($$$) hitting a torso out to 250 - 300 yards. Now, the speed of the BB when it hits the target is another story entirely...

That is impressive. I didn't think a .2 gram plastic BB would have the energy to travel that far accurately. What about muzzle velocity? What kind of MV does a higher end Airsoft kit have? Thanks.

socal is limited to 400 fps on outdoors, and 350 indoors. Sniper rifles has the advantage of hitting 500 fps. (of course it just limited to) But just speaking theoretical possible power, I hear 900 fps is entirely possible on gas

I hope you're not confusing feet and yards... think about what you've just said... you're saying that an airsoft bb can go across 3 football stadiums accurately... 3 feet = 1 yard.

so he's talkig about 75 feet!

THIS + 1000%!!!

Excellent point! I have 3 sons (6, 3 and 4 months). I want to encourage them to do stuff like this a lot more than gaming. I'm not knocking gaming, I love gaming... play my ps3 whenever I get a chance. But, the fact is, when you're gaming you're just sitting there sedentary... at least with air-soft, paintball, biking, skating, etc. you're moving around and getting some physical exercise.

Have a neighbor who's big into Airsoft, he has an MP5 replica gun, it's the size and weight of a real MP5. After adding all the upgrades he spent like $800 on it. It blows my mind how much $$$ a toy gun can cost lol.

LOL. I have an MP5 (GSG-5) that shoots .22 that only cost like $300.
