WTF:Internet explorer icon changed colors!

The "E" changed colors for a few days and yesterday it changed back.

Has anybody had this happen to them?

I used to get that when opening a new browser window in IE, it would go to a smoother-looking lighter blue, then back to the regular dark blue one once the page had loaded (or started to load?) Converted to FireFox & haven't looked back though.
