How long ago did Advanced Micro Devices become a seperate company from Intel? Seems the stock market thinks they're still joined at the hip! It seems as if even when AMD is doing well, the condition of Intel is the same as it. :|

I will still take Intel CPU's over AMD anyday. Mostly because support for the Athlons optimizations don't exist. I can get as good of performance out of an intel, and be more stable, not having to deal with VIA BS.

Warrenton, you're OT. If you want to start an argument about CPU aspects do it else where. CPU's aren't all that these companies make ya' know. :|

As a daytrader this creates buying opportunities for me, but it drives me crazy that AMD is taking away market share from Intel and has to take the plunge with Intel in stock price, for some reason most analyst don't like to talk about AMD because they have their big clients in Intel. BTW I am holding AMD in my long term portfolio. :D

I bought AMD a year and a half ago then sold it, a day later went up 15 points then splits. Just my luck eh?
