WTF I was banned!!???

I was banned for a post in the off topic forum

I said nothing out of line.. in fact this is a copy and past of my exact post







I dont know what happened to my first reply... for some reason it didnt work.

I am sure you dont remember me.. but I will never forget you.
When I was new to this board you flamed me... and I flamed back.
We went back and forth for about 30 minutes... after I left you changed all of your posts to say something completly different. I was so pissed that I wrote Anand about it.
You changed your posts to sound all innocent and had everyone lobbying for you and hating me because I was the newbie nobody knew.

If anyone has any qustion of my credibility I was a moderator at hardwarecentral.com, user name Rich (Was Rich3077)

I am known at many hardware and gaming sites as Rich3077 and post almost everyplace on a regular basis.

I have posted a few threads for needed overclocking information due to the great wealth of knowledge here.. but it has been few and far between.


Just needed to get that off my chest, I shall bother you no more.

Now... why was I banned... damn thats lame.

Also.. .I have unlimited email address with many domains that I can use.. you cannot stop me from posting.. BUT.. I will not post where I am not wanted... and I never did feel much of a community
going on here.

If my original name is reinstated I will consider returning,
if not... oh well.

Your attack on Red was unprovoked. That thread was about a joke and had nothing to do with anything you mentioned. Like I said in another post in that thread, if you have a problem with Red you should take it up with him via PM..

Ok, just so you know, it's never a good idea to join under a diffeent username when you've been banned. Your best bet is to email a mod with all the information. After that, be patient, they deal with a high volume of email and will get back to your situation asap.

This kind of statement can be construed as a threat and wil not help your situation any. It may only serve to anger the moderators, and rightly so. Think about it, you've gone off spouting threats without even mailing the mods to ask why you were banned. As a former mod of another site, you of all people should know better.

To answer your question, the mod said this:

<<It was deleted because it was a post clearly designed to bait Red. If someone has a problem with him they should PM him about it >>

Seems your post was intended to start trouble in the thread. You should have emailed or pm'd Red about your concerns, they're not for public display. Posts intended to cause trouble are a no no. It could also be seen as a personla attack against Red, and those are definate no nos.

One question, did this flame war even take place at Anand? If not, it certainly has no business here.

The mod also had this to say:

You really goofed when you reposted. If a mod removes your post, it's done for a reason, and you don't repost it.
