WTF I thought I had stress

I'm being FSCKING blamed for something I didn't even DO. WTF.

and I thought I was stressed when my problems were girls and school. Now someone is blaming me for something I had NOTHING to do with, and they have my phone # and know where I work.

Fscking great.

without getting into details (in case he finds the thread or something)
basically I saw a vehicle that was stripped. I called the cops let them know. I posted about it on a forum, and the owner contacted me. Now they think I did it, and want to meet me. I think through a search of my email (maybe?) they got my phone number and where I work (so they say).

They seem perfectly capable of totally fscking my life up.

What do you have to worry about if you're innocent? Unless you posted something stupid on the other messageboard that could be used to incriminate you, you're worrying over nothing.

I'm not worried about legal actions.. I didn't do jack.

However that doesn't prevent someone from showing up at my work screaming about how I stole something.. or calling my boss and saying.. I dunno what..

More details...what didn't you steal, where do you work, whats your CC #.......pics or bust!

Actually I believe it's called slander if they do that.

slander

A type of defamation. Slander is an untruthful oral (spoken) statement about a person that harms the person's reputation or standing in the community. Because slander is a tort (a civil wrong), the injured person can bring a lawsuit against the person who made the false statement. If the statement is made via broadcast media -- for example, over the radio or on TV -- it is considered libel, rather than slander, because the statement has the potential to reach a very wide audience.

Have them meet you in a public place and then tell them what happened. If you'd stolen it, why would you have been stupid enough to tell them where to find it.

ok now they're harassing you, call the cops.

I don't think him saying "I have your phone # and know where you work" is harassment.. especially over aim
