WTF I have some weird Virus

I was browsing through some personal sites for fun and IE seemed to have automatically downloaded some virus that changes my homepage to something else. I ran AVG and updated it and it found it and I placed it to the "Vault" then opened the Vault and deleted it, then I restarted. Nothing's changed! I ran AVG again and now it can't find any viruses. What should I do?
 
i have a strange one also. when i open up my browser, it goes to AT Hot Deals, then clicks open threads with scorching deals, then like a few days later, my credit card is charged with the amount of that deal. weird.
