I bit in to and broke off a small piece of a large, very hard thing in my cereal last night. Not fun.

It looks like a bone but it's most likely just a harden sugar/wheat combination.

I wrote an email to Kelloggs, should I expect any reply?

UPDATE: They gave me a call 10 minutes ago. They asked about the object and I told them it did not seem like food to me. She got info from the box and told me she's send a few free products., but also asked to get the piece sent in too. I told her I was not going to give them the piece.

I didn't really push too hard for money or anything, I was a little out of it from just waking up. I seriously doubt she was in any position to do anything but send me free products anyway.

I think my next step is ebay. Anyone have any ideas how to advertise this to-be auction?

They won't reply. Nearly any sympathetic response could be used against them in court as an admission of liability.

okay, and?

I would be willing to bet that it's not bone and is probably just baked sugars or something similar.

It hardly ellicits a claim that it's a bone.

Not trying to sound rude, but most people won't even read the portion I quoted without taking their minds from it being a bone.

I found maggot looking things in my cereal once.... wrote to complain. Was told that what I saw was a common packaging bug and they gave me coupons for free boxes of the same cereal. Yeah, right... not eating that stuff again.

If I saw it on the ground, I would think it's a bone, honestly. It's very hard and looks just like a chicken bone or something.

But it would make more sense if it was sugar/wheat hardened. Which is why I said that it probably is

After reading the box details, it appears that you did not receive the Star Wars DVD, but instead have received the bone of an Ewok killed in the fighting on the planet of Endor !!! Ebay that thing for serious $$$ !!!
