until yesterday at someone's house.

even the crappiest public restrooms on the huge rolls are perforated at least.

I have been to many many bathrooms with one ply non-perforated tp.

usually a huge brown roll that feels like a thin shopping bag from the food store

When I was growing up, that's what we used. Shopping bags are great....the paper is 10 times more frictional. 😉

public or private?

You think that sucks........our battalion was cross-training with a British battalion in the late '70's in Germany. Used their latrine and discovered something totally weird. TP that was essentially wax paper with some sort of flocked paper-like substance on one side. Completely worthless unless you liked scraping your nether region raw.

We traded some good American TP with the Brits for some nice spirits. They were quite glad to make the trade.........got some Brit field jackets, pants, and Wooly-Pully sweaters out of it, too. All for some proper TP.

Non perforated tp allows for some excellent TP'ing of property. Not that I advise or know...
Problem is it usually comes in 50lb rolls... kinda hard to heave up over tall objects. 😉

Welcome to Walmart - no perforation there. But at least it's 2-ply.
