WTF! I am only getting 4FPS on CS!!!! AHHH!!

I don't know whats up but when I turn my computer on today, the resolustion was at the lowest and I thought it was odd but thought nothing of it. So I cranked it back up to 1280 x 1024. Now, later in the day I try to play CS. I got massive lag on Neo's server while no one else was. So I said odd, so I logged off. Tried again and my video was all fvcked up and crappy. So I loaded up a LAN game and I got massive lag and only 4FPS. WTF is going on? I didn't mess with the Artificial lag or anything. I tried reinstalling new video drivers to no avail. HELP ME!

Format corrects all errors and restores all you files.

Urban, I'd start by reinstalling CS (make a backup of your config file though so you don't have to do your buttons again). If that doesn't fix it, reinstall HL. If that doesn't work, go to remove hardware, remove your video card, then restart your computer, let it auto-detect it, and install the drivers.

I got it working when I switched to OpenGL.




So if I format all my problems will go away?

even better.. flash your bios and when it is EXACTLY half way through, quickly shutdown and turn on your computer again, the first half of your bios is dedicated to &quot;video performance&quot;. If you clear it out, your video card will have a lot more room to work in
