OK So I open my car door this morning and immediately as I'm stepping in I see a small brown lump on the door sill/running board thingy (you know, the space where luxury cars usually have their logo under the door.) At first I thought a hornet had started to make a nest, but as I approach it with an extended finger the lump jumps and heads for a crevice towards the door hinge.
At this point, I can see its a small toad/frog thing. WTF?? How did it get there? The door was completely closed/locked before I opened it and I never left the door open for any extended amount of time recently. It couldn't have been there long either, since temps have been in the 90s lately and inside that car (on the metal) it could easily be hot enough to kill the toad/frog.
Anyways, after spending 20 minutes trying to fish it out I couldn't waste any more time so I just drove off. Ten minutes later, as I'm driving, I see the frog jump up on my sideview mirror (WTF how did he get out again with the door closed?) and then he jumped up again but caught the airstream (heh I was doing about 55 at the time) and he got blown back, probably into the windshield of the car behind me.
