WTF? Hotmail only lasts 30 days?

I hadn't logged onto my hotmail acct. in maybe 5 weeks. ALL GONE. WTF?

Yep, I forgot about mine over Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays, I lost all of my old college buddies emails and files. 🙁

I expect some leeway over the Xmas holidays.

Not a big deal though. Too many problems with Hotmail. Yahoo mail is better. Excite is suck however.

I do. But that's because I own my own domain and have pop servers, broadband, and outlook checking my mail from home every 5 minutes. 🙂

I just use my passport for messenger now....my hotmail box was always full of crap spam every single day anyway.

Hotmail is sh*t anyway. I use it because everyone has that address, but if I could do it all again I'd go with yahoo. i would never recommend anybody sign up with hotmail for a new account. It's a fvcking spamathon.

dunno. i've had my hotmail account since 97. the spam got pretty bad but recently i haven't been getting spam at that address anymore.

i get maybe 2 or 3 pieces of spam a week. thunderbird learns and moves them away from my inbox.

i gotta admit, the UI for hotmail.com sucks balls.

Heh, or the emails they send to your hotmail account to keep using it. 😉

Hotmail has really improved their spam blocking for free users.... and they're much better than Yahoo now, outside of the smaller storage limit. I never thought I'd say that... but it's true now. Who knows how long I'll keep my domain, so I'd rather use a national free service than the one my host provides me.

I've had a hotmail account for about 2 years. I only use it for Messenger and I've never had even one piece of spam in that account. Not saying that hotmail is any good, or better than Yahoo, just saying that getting a hotmail account does not guarantee spam. I have a Yahoo account also that I use when people want an e-mail address and I'm reluctant to give out my real e-mail address. Now that account gets all kinds of spam, but that's because I use it to catch spam when I sign up for something.

Yup I only use my hotmail now for spam mail where I need to use an email address to register for crap and for my messenger account which I access through Trillian.
