WTF! Help me stop coughing. 2 days straight

So actually since Satuday morning Ive have this hacking cough non stop like 24/7 and still going strong. Im not spitting up anything and its just this horrible dry cough that i cant stop. Feels like something is in my throat but not.

Other than that i feel fine, just this insane cough is killing me. Any idea of what i might have or how to stop it

HAHA. To tell you the truth i had one with dinner last night and i didnt cough for the whole 10minutes i drank the beer, but i mean i cant stop coughing. Its frickin ridiculous and i start classes today and have a 3 hour one!!!!!!

a doctor with some other type of remedies would be the best.

dry coughs are almost invariably viral. The cough is caused by irritation due to cellular damage resulting from the virus destroying the cells it infects in your throat. Coughing further irritates it causing a vicious cycle and making you cough more. You want to go out and buy some products with a cough suppresant. You also need to do everything in your power to NOT cough. You can also try drinking a lot of water, cough drops and frequent steamy showers.

Well my GF is over so the hot steamy showers wont be a problem
