WTF! Has the stats been updated???

SSP

Lifer
I just checked my stats, and it was the same thing I had yesterday. What gives?

Maybe I'm going nuts here. 😛

Nope, they haven't been updated yet, Decibel needs to wake up to do an autopsy first.:Q

Good thing I have my pproxy here to feed the addiction during these difficult times.😀

i also posted a message like this on the dpc forum ,asking if it had something to do with the mf , so , indeed, my stats for 4-9 are not available to . although it`s already late here 10 at night ,i still hope to see the update op the 4th ..... no ,count everything for one day ,then i finally may see 1k flushed for once 🙁

From Decibel's .plan:

<< :: 05-Sep-2000 20:02 (Tuesday) ::
Had some issues with stats last night; I'm working on them now and will post more info as soon as I can.

they must be on their backup cyrix box... would be faster (and more reliable results) to do them by hand, at least then when a pencil breaks you can easily and cheaply replace it! 😛 😛 😛

Hold up, I have a question. <Raises hand>

If yesterday?s stats are going to be updated tomorrow (12:01), what happens to today?s stats (the stats were supposed to check tomorrow)? I hope we don't have 1-day lag on the stats update. Or will they ignore yesterday?s stats update, and put up today?s stats? Did I confuse anyone? Hehe😀

EDIT - Typo.

I know what you mean RC...Especially after yesterday...🙁

Darn, that would suck to not see where we ended up after the best day ever (The Federation that is🙂)....

<< MegaFlushes stress the DNet resources... >>

The problems with the stats are only caused by a little 😉 mistake of Decibel, and have nothing to do with our MF... 🙂

<< I recently removed an index from the RC5 master table with the hope of saving some space and speeding some things up. As it turns out, that index is critical for one of the steps in the RC5 statsrun. >>

...because the DPCs have overwhelmed the servers.😉

Russ, NCNE

there's nothing like stats we had 1 year ago. stats are dynamically created from history, and keeping history is critical.
Its just a database problem (im used to it over here).

PcDealer is somewhat correct, we cant blame it on the DPC's oh wait yeah we can 😉 😛

Seriusly though they really started having problems when OGR came back. I think the load between the two contests is too much for Dnet's servers 🙁

I do not think this glitch can be blamed on the DPC.

To quote from decibels plan:"I recently removed an index from the RC5 master table with the hope of
saving some space and speeding some things up. As it turns out, that
index is critical for one of the steps in the RC5 statsrun. That's why
Sept 3 stats ran for almost 24 hours. The index is back in place, and RC5
stats will play 'catch-up' tonight as stats for both Sept 4 and 5 will
run."

In other words:Human error.🙁
