Why did they have such a crappy ep for #350? The drink machine one was miles better than that Romano crap.

So far I don't think anyone has mentioned the TV rating (warning) that comes on at the start of the show, something about language. Parents know that stuff.

The vending machine episode last night was pretty lame. The "Don't Fear the Roofer" episode that ran before it was much funnier.

And I agree with the OP, the Simpsons have been pushing the envelope more with their humor. I sometimes find myself thinking "WTF?? I can't believe they just went there...this is the Simpsons!" Oh well..

Well now I cant let my childreen watch the simpsons again (atleast my youngest) for a long time now. When did it become so bad?

I can understand the childreen here dont see a problem but as a parent point of view that show took a turn for the worst.
The Simpsons was never a show for children.

in the #350 episode, marge is taking bart, lisa, and santa's little helper(the dog) to visit grandpa.
in the driveway, she says, "we'll take the dog to the V-E-T" (spelling it out so the dog can't understand it)
then she says, "then we have to take your brother to get C-I-R-C-U-M-C-I-S-E-D". this line had me on the floor as bart asked, "i dont get it, what's that mean?"

alright, having actually watched the episode now, I just gotta say... wtf?

the "cap a pop in your ass" was probably one of the least offensive parts of the episode. of all the things to get offended by, that's definitely not one of them.

It baffles me. I can't remember the last time I watched a funny new episode of the Simpsons.

It probably was but that is what were heard when we turned it on. I was just amaised at that and when you watch a rerun. If what you said was true that that was the least offensive thing said that night then that cliches it for me that my kids will not be watching any of the newer shows or re-runs any time soon.

Watch a re-run. I mean how bad really was it. One episode you got homer with some hippies going around doing a freak out. Yeah sure it had a referance to pot in it but they kept it on the low where it would go right over most childreens heads. Alot of their humor back in the day was great for childreen to watch and parents because alot of it you had to be older to get but to a child was still funny.
