WTF happened to the forums?

I liked the previous change, but this latest one sucks major arse. When did this happen?

I'm guessing you are talking about the crap on the top... I hate it a lot! I dont know when it happened but please tell me their is a way to get rid of it.

There was a big thread about it in forum issues, and I think the consensus was that it would be good to incorporate the AT front end into the forums.

I like it for the most part, except for the huge blue bar at the top. That really, really needs to be pared down. I don't care about the one at the bottom.

Another thing that doesn't make any sense is why is the mushkin ad between the AT tabs and the forums? It looks ridiculous. Put it all the way up top in the whitespace, then the ugly blue bar can be eliminated.

Yeah, that is odd. I dread my subscription ending in about 5 days. I thought it had ended the other day and loaded the regular forums page - the ads are disconcerting, and I'm not sure I will be able to access it from work anymore. Woe is me!

Doesn't that just make a whole hell of a lot more sense. Hey, if you had 5 extra minutes, you could even make the tabs match the color scheme picked in the user's profile.

I really liked the dropdown forum bar, now it's all on the left... so confusing

The big fat blue bar at the top which has only small ads is the one that makes me scratch my head. Why does the bar have to be so big when the ads barely use much space.
