This is weird, I ordered something off their website, cost $49.99. %8.25 tax, which is $4.12. I didn't like it, so I had my sister return it after I recieved it (they claimed they tried to cancel my order, but they said they were too late and it shipped out a mere two days later). She took it to our nearest finishline store, and they gave me $49.99 back + $3.00 sales tax.

Is there some sort of policy or law regarding returns coming from out of state stores or something? This was shipped to me from Indiana, anyone know the sales tax there?

it's only a dollar which isn't a big deal, but it still bugs me that after they couldn't cancel my order, then wont refund my shipping, now they take away another dollar and change

well they charged me %8.25 sales tax on my invoice. I thought maybe they had just taken away the shipping from my total price but sure enough $1.12 got lost somewhere in the transaction.

Sigh, never send your sister to return basketball shoes for you

The tax returned was the sales tax for the area that you bought the item. The register calculates it.

If they read a receipt number then tax could have been returned.

You can complain and get the missing amount returned.
