I've seen it once. It's part of Filipino tradition just like Americans dressing up for Halloween. I remember during Good Friday, especially at around 3pm, the streets would clear out and you would hardly see anyone.

They have done this for a long time! I don't belive the nails are quite as big as the spikes that they portray in the movies but none the less thats some dedication to the "role".

Those people must have been brain-fvcked. What is wrong with them. That is hardcore blasphemous. My family is Christian, and I go to church every stupid sunday, even though I don't believe in it. Religion is really good at fvcking people up as I have noticed, hell people in the middle-east use it to murder! Even that woman. who beat in the skulls of her sons, used god's will as a defence! there may be a god, there may not. I'm an evolutionist. Those creationalist bastiges are wrong.

actually, i've seen it in the news before but the coverage was like maybe 10 seconds...hehe...but i agree with you, now that Gibson's movie is making big news, they're covering this more in depth...
