I think someone invoked the whole equal opportunity employer thing and one of my coworkers is slightly deficient.

Udora cant access , logged out with <random unrelated-to-email proprietary web app>, clicks on it Eudora and then it closes.
and
He needs someone to check out Rs 232 link. he wants to know if we have a breakout box or extra cable. He has no communication.

Those are WORK ORDERS in our damned database. They're supposed to say something useful, like:
<computername> (<physical location> ) is not allowing logins. It either displays a Windows Genuine Advantage error and then returns to the login prompt, displays a message during login about being unable to copy a file (the file varies) and then returns to the login prompt, or reboots (possibly BSoD followed by automatic reboot) during the login process. Checked network connections, tried using my account, no successes.

This person either has a degree in some computer related field, or is in pursuit of a degree in one. Knowing about these systems is a part of our training program here. He also reportedly spent 4 hours and made several high-level support calls in search of a webmail desktop icon on our technician profiles. Ultimately, we ADDED a webmail desktop icon (forgive us for ever thinking that our support personnel would know enough about our systems and about computers in general to be able to open a web browser and click a link on the homepage, or GOD FORBID type in a URL)

i guess he thinks the intraweb still runs on serial ports? 😕

We use RS232 for all kinds of things here, and the user ID tied to the work order makes sense, since he has a BILLION RS232 devices up there. The question is... Which device doesn't work? WTF does needing another switchbox have to do with anything?
