WTF does 'SMS blocked' mean??

I'm new to Cingular, so I don't know if this is an issue with my phone, with my account, with the person I'm sending to, or with some system being down on their end. Whenever I try to send an SMS message it says 'SMS Blocked. Saved in Unsent Folder'. It used to work before but now for the past few days it hasn't been working. What the dealio?

Yeah, I would ask on howardforums etc. but I'm not registered on any of those sites! 🙂

😛 Must be a problem with you account settings... you should call Cingular and complain about it. What phone do you have?
 
you probably dont have SMS enabled on your account. I am just guessing though. It could be a setting on your phone too...should probably give them a call.

yeah that's what I'm doing now

btw phone is a sony ericsson T616.

CSR says she's never heard of that before...she's transferring me 😛

Fixed it! SIM update on Friday added a bogus service gateway, so I just had to delete it within my phone's menu. Never would have thought of that myself! 😕
