seriously?!

had the same car in twice this week.

2006 dodge magnum with a 3.5

first for an evap code a hose from the tank rubbed through on the upper control arm mount in the right rear.

easy fix right? change the hose.

the hose is not sold aprt from the gas tank and costs 1200 CAD for a fuel tank assembly.

replaced it with a heater hose that was bent surprisingly close to the hose i pulled out.

second time it came in was today.

p0660 manifold tuning valve solenoid circuit

easy enough tested the circuit with my MODIS and it lit up my noid light.

so i need a new valve.

problem, chrysler EOL'ed them.

they want 2300 CAD for an intake plenum!?!

wtf if the part was bad fix the issue! don't just make me change something that otherwise isn't broken.

/end rant

You're getting hosed.

Sorry couldn't resist it. Have you considered not going to the stealership. A second opinion. Or fixing yourself.

For things like that I hit eBay or a salvage yard.

Is this the part number, 68166449AA ?
If so eBay has them for a little under $150.

the part by the oil dipstick on the front of the intake.

as far as used parts, i would rather new than used with a used part you don't know how long it will last and new parts have warranty.
