No it was a question of confusion and intrigue, the same way you put an upward inflection, and thus a question mark on the end of a sentence that is confusing.

There's no way that can be right?! etc. I'm sorry that this simple concept and simple thread was so confusing to you based on a question mark.

Yeah I'm sure there is a branch of the gooberment that actually calls itself "United States Government" on it's letterhead. If you're going to fake a document please have an IQ higher than my shoe size k? Thx.

The thread title is misleading because of the question mark. You are not asking if there are such declassified files, you are asking what one of them means. Is that camera eye of yours powered by a potato by chance?

It's the fact that it came from the FBI's website that gives it credence to me, not how legitimate the document looks.

I'm asking what the fuck. Is it a real document. I'm not stating that it is then questioning it. I'm asking if it is a Declassified FBI file on Roswell, if not, what is it.

obviously its a scan of a real document. is it declassified? i doubt it since it does not have any markings indicating it was. or that it was even classified in the first place. does it prove aliens landed in roswell? no, it looks like a simple report about something someone else said.

Yes, people told the FBI UFO stories. The FBI duly recorded the reports, including stories about Roswell. It lends no credibility to the accounts whatsoever. It's merely confirmation that people reported UFO's to the FBI.

Your question was answered in the 2nd response. Per the link:

Majestic 12 In 1988, two FBI offices received similar versions of a memo titled “Operation Majestic-12…” claiming to be highly classified government document. The memo appeared to be a briefing for newly-elected President Eisenhower on a secret committee created to exploit a recovery of an extra-terrestrial aircraft and cover-up this work from public examination. An Air Force investigation determined the document to be a fake.
