WTF damn alarm clock...

so i had my alarm clock set for 7:30 this morning... i woke up at 10:20, looked at it, and said WTF!? the alarm didn't go off, but the switch was still in the on position... i didn't get the am & pm messed up on the clock, and if i had been hitting the snooze button, it would have gone off again... WTF!? damn alarm clock!!!! i need to get a new one, or find a way to start waking up in time for classes... this is absurd..........

I used to turn it off and go back to sleep without waking up. Thats when I bought a second alarm clock and put it across the room set to go off 5 min after the first.

You most likely slept through it.

Get another one, set them a couple mins apart.

It takes two alarms to reliably get me up. I use one on each side of the bed, the thought required to figure out which alarm is going off & shut it up is enough to wake me properly.

Yeah, that happened to me for the first time this morning, and I missed Judo because of it.

My guess is that I slept through it, but I can't really be sure. More likely that I'm defective than the clock though. 😀

My stereo has an alarm function. trust me, I never sleep through that one.

I have an alarm pellet gun. It uses a low-velocity lead slug that gets shot into my leg and always wakes me up.

3 alarm clocks for me.. and I sometimes don't even wake up. I need to get a new alarm clock with a different sound as I've become adjusted to their noise.. Good thing my cell phone has different alarm sounds.

If you put your alarm clock on your dresser or somewhere it requires you to get out of bed to shut it off...it might help you to wake up more!

Or another thought is to have a baby and then you'll be waking up every morning at 7:30am as I am! I can't even remember the last time I had to use my alarm clock!🙂

Get an old fashioned wind-up alarm clock with an honest to gosh bell on it.

Put it in a large metal pot.

If that won't wake you up, I don't know what will.

you've inspired me to get another alarm clock
i just want to try that out to see what its like 😀

i need to buy a bunch of them and place them in strategic positions so that my half-awakened efforts to turn them off leads me into the shower

i couldn't have slept through it, it's one of those kind that keeps on going until you either turn it off, or hit the snooze... but yes, a big problem is it's right next to my bed... but still, i figured it would have at least been off or snoozed, not just... not on....

Make sure the last one is battery operated.

my alarm clock has 4 things going for it:

1. it runs on batteries, so it's not subject to power outtages (the light will dim when the battery is low)
2. it has a random beep generator, so the sounds are of varying lengths (UNBELIEVABLY annoying)
3. it's an analog clock with hashes instead of numbers, so i have to focus my eyes and concentrate to understand what time it is, by which time i'm usually up.
4. the time between hitting the snooze gets progressively shorter, to the point that it will start to beep again within 5 seconds of me hitting the snooze

needless to say, i hate the fvcker and it's saved my ass countless times.

I am a heavy sleeper what I used to sleep through... two radio alarms full volume both out of reach and my tv turning on 10 min after that.

What I did was get a timer and plug my lamp into it. That comes on about an hour before i am set to wake up. I have not woken up late since then 😀

My computer is right near my bed, so I use an alarm clock on my computer. It goes off and blasts a song of my choice (I chose some electronica with some hard hitting bass). The only problem is when I'm really lazy, I can stretch and manage to reach the mute button on my speakers. 😀

One time I completely slept through it, I had gotten about 10 hours of sleep in three nights, and this song was playing for 40 minutes looped before it woke me up. It was friggin LOUD too!

Get married and have a baby.

Baby monitor replaces alarm clock. I'm still trying to figure out how to hit the damn snooze though 😛.

I am good at shutting my alarm off across the room where I have to actually stand up and walk 10 feet, turn the alarm off, and go back to bed not remembering it. I now use the alarm on my cell phone which seems to work good.
