Yesterday, my CPU was running ~ 32c idle 36 load. Today, its running 36 idle 41 load. Only thing I can think of is yesterday it was a few degrees cooler, but only a few degress. I don't get it.

A few degrees ambient temp difference can make a big difference. Personally I don't see the big deal, as those temps are still way good. Maybe it's just because I don't care to monitor my temps unless I have instability... <shrug>

What made me check was the computer was locking up... After I redid the thermal goo, temps stayed the same but computer was stable (very confused). Now today, temps are back to at what they were... Thanks for all your replies :D

sometimes cpus get lonely and need to heat up to make themselves feel better. it's going on winter. gotta cut them some slack.

my cpu is sitting on 34C idle. spent the last 3 months @ 40C.
