WTF Concert moved back 4 months?

I bought tickets for the Coldplay concert in Auburn Hills for July 5th... The concert was moved back to November 3rd. Why would they do this?
 
Probably was the earliest date to reschedule for... they might have a conflict with tour dates or they were invited to be on some show instead.
 
When Incubus came to play last year, they had postponed the concert twice. First they postponed it like 3 months, then they postponed it for another very long time and it was almost a year later when they finally got around to playing.

A lot of my friends went and they had all shelled out $100+ for the tickets.

Shit happens.
 
The Killers pushed back their concert date here a few times, I guess they'd scheduled it before they hit it really big (obviously this was when their first album was out).
The ultimate reason is probably money.
