Boy, it must be a slow first half of the year for my company's Employee Relations department, because apparently they've had enough time to plan and distribute an email announcing this year's company "Holiday Party".
 
Eh, I think that your company is probably jumping the gun by a *little*. Most people I know start planning their Christmas season somewhere around late August - mid September.
 
Ehhh...I know one of my wife's former companies got burned because they waited too long. Guess now is a good time to make sure you get the party at the place and time you want.
