Last December I bought a digital TV tuner card, with the intent of watching some HDTV once in a while. Although the card works, I've been having a very hard time picking up the stations I want to watch.

Here's a list of the channels in the area, how far away they are, and how well they come in:
WWMT-DT 2: 40 miles, have never been able to get this one in
WOOD-DT 7: 25 miles, came in fine for awhile in January, then gone
WGVU-DT 11: 15 miles, shows up very strong once in awhile
WXMI-DT 19: 25 miles, strongest and most reliable signal, can always get it in
WOTV-DT 20: 50 miles, can almost always get it in
WTLJ-DT 24: 15 miles, usually present but too weak to recieve, sometimes comes in strong enough to watch
WZZM-DT 39: 25 miles, acts just like 11

Note that the channels I can recieve change on an almost daily basis, without any adjustment of the antenna. Right now, the only ones that are watchable are 19 and 20, with 24 coming in at 72% signal strength, too low to watch.

I'm using a directional outdoor UHF antenna without any amplification, pointed in the general direction of where 2, 7, 19, 20 and 39 come from. It looks like this. Is there anything I can do to improve the situation?

EDIT: I'm an idiot. Turns out most of the stations I can't pick up are, in fact, in the VHF band, for which a UHF antenna is completely unsuitable. Looks like I'm off to ebay to get a VHF/UHF antenna...
