wtf...cable descramblers???

I just had an add on the top of forums here on anandtech come up with cable descramblers!
Are you guys promoting the use of illegal cable? I hope not...I thought those were only the type of adds you would see on porn sites and the like....

they're only illegal if you don't inform your cable provider that you're using it. If you don't like the ads, do what i did: subscribe!

We have a similar law here in Michigan regarding crossbows, as they're perfectly legal to own, buy and sell, but they can only be legally used by those who are disabled and have a license. Then again, we also have a law on the books requiring all motor vehicles to have working windshield wipers.. although having a windshield is not required.
