so asus ar bringing out some new gaming laptops in 15.4 and 17inches

the G1 is 15.4 WXGA
the G2 is 17 WSXGA
which if you ask me is pretty poor, but good on the GPU's
now i dont know much about the radeon x1700 but i presume its based on the X1600? if so, why on earth is that GPU goin in the more expensive one (g2) with the bigger screen?
the smaler 15.4 inch one has the quite frankly awesome Geforce go 7700. which i would of thought should really be in both.
what are the X1700's specs?
