WTF are the refs smoking?

Better question, what are you smoking that compels you to watch this game? 🙂 I suggest paint drying if you want entertainment.

yeah i could not beleive they let the call stand. Even the annoucer was shocked but it really does not matter the bears have been doing really bad this year.

That was horrible, show me a Gawd Damn play in the history of the NFL where the ball doesn't move when the player's arm hits the ground.

Perfect throw, he had the ball in the cradle and got both feet down well inbounds, wtf?

I'm a Bear fan.

I think you could argue he was being pushed out of bounds when he caught the ball. That would count as a touchdown. See the Minnesota/Arizona game last year on the last play of the game that bumped the Vikings out of the playoffs.

Being a life long Lions "fan" It was just another way for the Lions to dissappoint the crowd. So many possible ways and here was a new one. A defeat from a clearly inferior team that was not to happen because of a bad call. There was no joy in the clubhouse. The Lions knew they blew another one.

The official ruling on the field was that the player didn't have total control of the ball (essentially, that he bobbled it) before going out of bounds.

The official ruling from the replay was that there is evidence of the ball "moving" once he hit the ground, and there was nothing conclusive enough to overturn the ruling. Had the call on the field been a TD, the replay official wouldn't have overturned that, either.
