Not quite sure what's going on here? $2200 for a 320GB hard drive.

Yes but these are the FASTEST 7200RPM drives out there.... RAWR

20 drives... hmm RAID 1 + 0.. that's 3.2 TB of good storage.

Or use raid 5 and get 6.1TB....

probably 5 arrays of 4 drives so 4.8TB realistically.

Either way...with that many drives raid 1+0 isn't a good option.

Wouldn't Raid 5 be better? ~6TB would be alot of porn.

Not for write speeds, no. RAID-5 is the sux0rz for write speed unless you have a good controller, a BBUM, and the right write-cache turned on.

Not for write speeds, no. RAID-5 is the sux0rz for write speed unless you have a good controller, a BBUM, and the right write-cache turned on.

What's a BBUM? I would think any controller that could handle 20 drives, if they make them, would be decent and costly.
