I think it's talking about the $7 car wash at every huddle house. My mom has lost a couple of mirrors going through some of those :/ i think a Celica would have been a better choice though :/
Between the whirling brushes, screaming streams of scorching water, fruity-smelling hot wax and tornado-strength air driers, the modern car wash can seem to be a perilous and uncertain journey.

Actually, I like this. Some cars are a bitch to detail. They have all sorts of little crevices for the wax to get into, sharp edges under the door sills, extraneous body molding to work around, etc. Some cars are just easier to wash and wax.
