I just downloaded the ZoneAlarm Pro.
I never felt the need of a firewalll until I read the news with Kazaa.

Damn, 10 mins aftter installing the firewall, 20 "attacks" already. WOO

The whole Kazaa things is making me worried. oh well, I got firewall now. LOL

Now I can just enjoy my :beer:

Is it the trial version of ZA Pro or did you buy it? Trial versions of firewalls are known to block "numerous attacks" that coincidentally, seem to happen right after you install it. Once you buy the full version you only get attacked once in a blue moon.
 
That's pretty common. The log on my hardware firewall are always filled with that stuff. I run zonealarm also just incase something gets through.
 
I downloaded off Kazaa... LOL
I had to download and enter the Key, so, I am assuming its the "trail".

I am using it to block those RIAA people.
 
i turned off kazzaa and almost all of those "attacks" stopped.

I'm thinking it was probably just the file transfers.

I'm well aware of the riaa's actions, but how does your firewall pertain to them unless you're blocking all kazaa traffic making it worthless? If you download or upload files, your IP address is still readily available to them........ Its like using an umbrella because its cold out.
 
ZoneAlarm is not going to fo you any good. When Kazaa is running your computer is open to the Internet for all Kazaa traffic. So, everyone can still see everything that you are sharing, assuming that you are.
 
when I downloaded off kazaa. it came with a key, and i have to enter the key to use it.
can i assume it is the retail?
anyway i can check?
 
I think it's safe to say that you suck at the internet.

This is why a firewall on every box can be bad.

Dude, screw zone alarm, the program blows for security....oh wait, it doesn't have any!!

Get Visnetic or Tiny Personal Firewall. Or even Kerio personal firewall. They are all proven to work. Screw zone alarm and black ice. Get a real firewall.

yep kerio is really nice. so much control. and you can view the connections.

now you can even export/import rulesets!
 
Sounds normal. Seems to happen with lots of ads on certain pages. IMO, though, ZA is overrated...just get a junker P200 or old celeron PC and make a firewall out of it 🙂
